Math Committee Reminder
This is a quick reminder that if you are interested in helping review math curriculum for Grayslake Elementary District 46, the deadline is today. Below is more information on the process:
- Meetings held monthly on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday
- Meetings will be held during the day (8-11 or 12-3) with both K-5 and 5-8 both on the same day (5th grade members will be in both sessions
- Textbooks to review will be chosen byt the committees, but must meet school guidelines
One observation here is that all the meetings are during the day. This eliminates many very qualified people from helping with this and other committees. The reviews are setup to make it easy for teachers and not the community. How many qualified people with real world math experience will take off half a day or a whole day per month to help with this effort?
