Barack Obama: Teach Your Children Spanish

Obama recently gave a speech in Powder Spring, GA where encouraged parents to teach their kids Spanish. Our public government schools can’t even teach English, how does he expect them to teach Spanish as well?

    Obama makes an excellent point. It is embarrassing, the lack of foreign language knowledge among Americans. And besides, with a Democrat in charge, you will get plenty of government money going to education, so you don’t have to worry so much about not having enough funding.

    What’s embarassing is spending nearly $600 billion dollars already and having public schools that are failing to teach the basics or reading and math. Money is not the issue, it’s the system that is broken.
