Springfield Rally: How Much Did It Cost The Taxpayer?

I was able to make it to Springfield today and witnessed the taxpayer funded rally where the schools were asking for more money. I took a few pictures, but not as many as I had hoped.

Students First had an article today about thousands being expected at the rally. They were correct, but they had thousands because Chicago Public Schools bussed in almost 5000 students. This was a statement made my Arne Duncan, Superintendent of CPS.

There were also a multitude of teachers. How many substitutes did the taxpayers pay for today? I’ll have more details tomorrow evening.
