Sharefest: Help a Needy Child With a Backpack

There are many children throughout Lake and McHenry Counties whose family does not have the money to buy the neccessary school supplies for their children. There is a way you can help fill this need. A group of churches have formed a group named Catalyst. They are organizing a Sharefest to buy and fill backpacks for these children.

The Chapel will help provide 1,400 backpacks to people who need them in Lake and McHenry County. Pickup dates for the backpacks are July 23, 29 and 30. Drop-off dates for the backpacks are August 5, 6, 12 and 13. For more information, contact Stacia Gibson at staciagibson@chapel.org. |
You can pay $3 and pick up a list of the suplies needed or you can just pay $20 and someone else will take care of getting the supplies. This makes it convenient for all to help a needy child.

If you don’t like religious organizations, you can also provide a backpack through the Lake County United Way.
