The NEA pulled the more controversial resolution and opted for this version instead. In doing so, they are still promoting the acceptance of gay/lesbian lifestyles, cross dressing and other sexual preference lifestyles. By accepting them as normal, they will now be able to promote this normalcy in textbooks and other curricula.
