Average Scholarship: $39,667

The 2006 graduating class of Westlake Christian Academy was offered an astonishing average of $39,667 per student. All but one of the students will be continuing their education at colleges and universities.

Here is a list of the colleges/universities they will be attending this fall:

• Carthage College, Kenosha, WI
• Trinity International University, Deerfield, IL
• Northland College, Ashland, WI
• Cedarville University, Cedarville, OH

In a statement by the schools’ administrator, Jeff Wilcox, “This class was very active in school leadership, in outreach to the community and demonstrate a desire to serve God in their service. Their mission trip to Guatemala was service oriented as they ministered to children in an orphanage and completed work projects for the orphanage.”

For those of you who don’t know about Westlake, it is a Christian School in Grayslake serving all of Lake County. As these scholarships demonstrate they are fulfilling their ideals to “provide a well-rounded education”
