Playboy Sex-Ed is the nickname for the new comprehensive sex education guidelines adopted by Chicago Public Schools. The name came from the fact that the group, Illinois Caucus for Adolescent Health, held its spring fundraiser at the Playboy Mansion. Here is the list of sponsors from their website.

Could there be more obvious evidence that liberal sex-ed advocates care more about enabling promiscuity than teaching abstinence and good moral values to our children? What is worse: the anti-abstinence lobby in Chicago just won a MAJOR VICTORY when the Chicago Public Schools Board of Education adopted a new “Comprehensive Sexual Health Education” policy that will diminish abstinence education programs in city schools. Click here to read about it in this very revealing Chicago Tribune story–reprinted below–dated April 27, 2006. |
IFI is asking you to keep up the calls because it’s having an effect. Here is their latest update on the citizen’s phone calls.

“CPS has been receiving a lot of phone calls in the past weeks objecting to this policy and asking the Board to reconsider [the new, liberal "age-appropriate" sex-ed guidelines].” “Will the [new] curriculum help students raise their standards when it comes to risky behavior, or simply prepare them to be purchasers of pornography, condoms and STD medications?” TAKE ACTION TODAY: The ACLU is worried about IFI’s effort to alert Chicago citizens to the new liberal, “age-appropriate” sex-ed guidelines being imposed upon Chicago students. So forward this Alert to your friends in Chicago and keep your calls and e-mails coming to Chicago Public Schools CEO Arne Duncan (phone: 773-553-1550) or aduncan@cps.k12.il.us Tell Mr. Duncan that you favor reversing the CPS Board of Education’s decision to promote so-called “comprehensive” (non-abstinence-focused) sex-ed lessons. We are calling the new guidelines “Playboy Sex-Ed” because, as IFI reported recently, the Planned Parenthood-aligned Illinois Caucus for Adolescent Health, which led push for the new liberal sex-ed guidelines, recently held its fundraiser at Playboy headquarters in Chicago. Respectfully ask Mr. Duncan why he and the Board adopted recommendations from a sex-ed advocacy group that is obviously NOT interested in promoting abstinence to schoolchildren. |
If you are a Chicago resident, please contact CPS’ CEO Arne Duncan today by phone (773-553-1550) or Email (aduncan@cps.k12.il.us). Protect your children.
