Lake County United Meeting
Lake County United is holding a meeting Tuesday night. Details below or on their website.
|
When: Tuesday, June 6th at 7:00 p.m. Lake County Federation of Teachers North end of Ambrogio Drive, which intersects Washington Street just west of U. S. 41. Join your neighbors for an assembly focused on two Lake County United priorities: Expanding access to health care and improving school funding and performance. ———————————— On the heels of the successful March Candidates Forum on school funding reform, the Lake County United Education Team will present ideas to build more support for equitable school funding during the six months leading up to the November elections. |
Please consider attending. You do not have to speak. Listening will provide you with much valuable information on school funding and hopefully school spending.
Lake County United needs to be told there is a spending problem that must be addressed. Taxpayers are fed up with the never ending spending of the Public Government Schools. They need to be held accountable for the current funding they receive before being given a virtual blank check from the State.

Check out what others are saying about this post...[...] I received some data and charts from Taxpayers for Good Government a few days ago. They highlight the fact that schools district reveuenues are rising much faster than inflation and student population. This leads to the inevitable conclusion that schools in the State of Illinois do not have a funding problem; they have a spending problem. Please review the charts and data provided below and consider attending the Lake County United meeting this Tuesday night and let them know there is a spending problem, not a funding problem. [...]
