Todays special Board Meeting was held to discuss payments to Ruck/Pate and PCM that were delayed at last week’s regular meeting. The delay was due to some questions by the board members of the billed amounts. It appears there are still questions to be answered, because the Ruck/Pate payment was delayed again for more discussions. The PCM payment was authorized to prevent any additional costs while the remaining questions could be answered.

The board also chose Quinlan & Fabish (sp?) to provide the extra-curricula band and chorus for the upcoming school year. They were the cheapest of the 2 RFP’s the board received. I believe the cost was $270 per band student for the year. Chorus was at an additional $10 per student per month. This decision gives the board another year to see if they can work band and chorus staffing back into the school budget while still making the program available for the students.
