Tax debate hits Web Site By Marcia Sagendorph is an article in the News Sun Online. They interviewed me Tuesday night about what happened Friday afternoon on the District 46 Information Message Board. I have the transcript of what happened in this post.

I have to admit I was worried about how they were going to portray this. They did a good job of it though. They left out some things I said, but overall it was balanced and told what happened. They did ask for my picture so they could make it a feature article, but I declined. I didn’t think it was a good idea to let everyone know what I looked due to the threats.

As a clarification, the District 46 Information Message Board not only removed the transcript I saved, but all posts I had previously posted asking questions. I have been back to the site to defend myself from someone else mischaracterizing things I had written in an email. I will only be posting there in defense of myself for a while.

The debate gets very personal quickly and does appear slanted to the pro-referendum agenda. From what I can gather from looking at responses, someone there who posts anonymously, can see IP addresses and finds out who is posting even when anonymous. I would encourage all who post on it, to use a service that masks your IP address. It will be the only safe way to post anonymously and hopefully make the debate unbiased.
